Prosafe Production has designed and built swivels for the company´s floating production vessels and single point mooring systems since 1990. The range of fluid swivels includes production, test, water injection, gas and utility swivels. This fluid transfer technology has been continuously developed over the past two decades. Standard features include multiple seals, lubrication and monitoring systems, and fail-safe features.

FPSO Espoir Ivoirien - Multipath 8 Pass Swivel

The Prosafe Production designed swivel for the FPSO Espoir Ivoirien is a multi-ported unit consisting of one in-line piggable flow path and seven toroidal flow paths. This swivel is used for the crude product, water injection, gas lift and gas export lines. The swivel stack also incorporates a utility swivel for subsea control and utilities and a signal transfer system.

FPSO Polvo

The Prosafe Production-designed swivel for the FPSO Polvo is arranged with initially a 12” crude oil import flow path and a 10” water injection flow path. The swivel stack is arranged to allow the retrofitting of an additional 12” crude oil and one additional 10” water injection flow path. A feature of the design is the ability for in-situ seal replacement in any flow path whilst the adjoining flow paths are still in service. The swivel stack also includes a main high voltage power swivel with 2 x 14 MW capacity and fibre optic and control swivels.

FPSO Umuroa

This swivel stack assembly consists of one 20” production, one 10” test and one 4” high pressure gas flow path. A feature of the main swivel section design is the ability to carry out in-situ seal replacement without dis-assembly of the entire swivel and with adjacent flow paths remaining in service. The swivel has been designed for operating temperatures up to 110 deg C. The swivel stack assembly also incorporates a utility swivel for high pressure chemicals, hydraulics, etc. and medium voltage and control electric swivel.

FPSO Ruby Princess

This swivel stack was outfitted with a single 10” production swivel but was designed to be field expandable to a 4 path swivel stack with 1 x 10” production, 1 x 16” water injection, 1 x 4” gas lift and 1 x 6” spare.

FPSO Al Zafarana

The swivel stack incorporates 2 x 8” 1500# flow path one for production and one for water injection. In addition the swivel stack provides for 2 x 2.5 MW high voltage power transfers and 2 x fibre optic control and signal transfers.

FSO Camar Nusantara

The unit consists of a single 6 inch 150# in-line swivel fro receipt of production fluids.
